Shirohatanoyu is located right next to the Yubatake.

Shirohatanoyu
Shirohatanoyu (白旗の湯) is a small, local-style bathhouse located right next to Kusatsu’s famous Yubatake and the nearby Gozanoyu. Though simple and compact, it’s open to tourists and offers an authentic experience of everyday onsen culture in Japan.
Inside, you’ll find two cozy baths, each holding just 2–4 people, filled with steaming hot spring water that flows directly from the source. The water is hotter than many larger bathhouses, making it ideal for those who want a strong, traditional soak in a quiet setting. It's a great way to enjoy a local favorite in the heart of Kusatsu.
