Jizonoyu Onsen is located a 5-minute walk from the Yubatake.

Jizonoyu
Jizonoyu (地蔵の湯) is a small, traditional bathhouse in Kusatsu, just a five-minute walk from the base of the Yubatake, tucked away on a quiet side street. Popular with locals, it features gender-separated baths that each hold around 4–6 people. The water comes straight from a natural spring right in front of the building and is known for being very hot.
What makes Jizonoyu special is its offering of Jikanyu, a timed bathing therapy that helps improve circulation and health. Visitors can enjoy a brief but intense soak, following local custom. It’s a great way to experience Kusatsu’s onsen culture like a local, in a peaceful and authentic setting.
