Chubu Region
The Chubu Region (中部地方, Chūbu Chihō, meaning central part) is located in the center of Honshu, Japan's largest island. It includes nine diverse prefectures, each offering something special—from the towering Mount Fuji to the breathtaking Japan Alps. This central region is perfect for nature lovers, with some of Japan’s tallest peaks and dramatic mountain scenery.
The region is also divided into three smaller areas. The Hokuriku Region (Fukui, Ishikawa, Toyama) stretches along the Sea of Japan and is known for coastal beauty and traditional culture. The Tokai Region (Shizuoka, Aichi, Gifu) blends modern cities with access to Mount Fuji, while the Koshinetsu Region (Yamanashi, Nagano, Niigata) offers serene highlands and outdoor adventures.
