Yamato no Yu is a bit out of the way, so public transport isn’t the easiest option. You can walk there in 20–30 minutes from Shimosa-Manzaki Station, which is just one stop (5 minutes, 190 yen) from Narita Station on the JR Narita Line. It’s also about a 10–15 minute walk from the nearby Boso no Mura open-air museum.

Yamato no Yu Bathhouse
Yamato no Yu (大和の湯) is a modern and relaxing bathhouse located just south of Boso no Mura and a short distance from Narita Airport. Perfect for travelers with a few hours to spare, it offers both indoor and outdoor baths, separate for men and women, along with a sauna. The mineral-rich geothermal water is heated to about 41°C, although its natural temperature is only 19°C—making it technically a cold spring, or reisen, rather than a traditional onsen.
In addition to its bathing areas, Yamato no Yu features three private baths that can be reserved on the day of your visit. Guests can also enjoy a peaceful lounge area, a Japanese restaurant, a sushi bar, and even a gym and spa. While children under six are not allowed, the facility welcomes guests with tattoos, making it accessible for international visitors looking for a comfortable and elegant Japanese bath experience.
