The best way to get to Goshikihama Beach is by car. While there is a bus stop called Goshikihama Bus Stop right next to the beach, buses don’t come very often.

Goshikihama Beach
Goshikihama Beach (五色浜, Goshikihama), located on the western coast of Awaji Island, is renowned for its sparkling pebbles and breathtaking sunset views. The beach gets its name from "Goshiki," which means five colors, referring to the multicolored stones that blanket the shoreline. These pebbles shimmer in the sunlight, creating a dazzling effect, particularly as the sun begins to set over the Seto Inland Sea. The beach's unique landscape offers visitors a chance to experience a natural spectacle unlike anywhere else on the island.
Facing westward, Goshikihama is considered one of the prime spots on Awaji Island to witness a tranquil, golden sunset. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky transforms into vibrant hues that reflect off the water and the pebbles, enhancing the beach's already stunning beauty. Whether you’re here to relax, capture the perfect photograph, or simply immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere, Goshikihama offers a serene coastal retreat, with the evening hours providing the most magical and colorful views.
