Hirosaki’s main attractions are located near Hirosaki Park, which is a 10-15 minute bus ride or a 30-minute walk west of Hirosaki Station. The Dotemachi Loop Bus is a convenient option for tourists, stopping at major attractions, including the park. It runs every ten minutes in a clockwise direction, with a one-ride cost of 100 yen or a day pass for unlimited rides at 500 yen.

Other loop bus lines are available for 100 yen but operate less frequently. Regular city buses are more expensive and less convenient, although they can be faster. Rental bicycles are a great alternative, available from Hirosaki Station or Otemon Square between 9:00 and 16:00 from April to November. Standard bikes cost 500 yen per day, while electric bikes are available for 1,000 yen per day.
