Kusatsu Ski Resort
Kusatsu Onsen Ski Resort (草津温泉スキー場, Kusatsu Onsen Skījō), located on the scenic slopes of Mount Shirane, offers a unique combination of skiing and relaxation. Situated just above the famous Kusatsu hot springs, it’s the ideal spot to enjoy a day on the slopes and then unwind in the rejuvenating hot baths. While the upper areas and main gondola were closed due to a volcanic eruption in 2018, the lower slopes remain open, with multiple ski lifts and well-maintained runs available for visitors to enjoy. The resort’s stunning natural backdrop enhances the experience, offering both winter sports enthusiasts and those looking to relax a perfect retreat.
As the snow melts, Kusatsu Onsen Ski Resort transforms into a vibrant outdoor adventure park, offering a variety of activities for all ages. During the summer months, visitors can enjoy fun-filled activities like mini golf, mountain boarding, and grass cart rides, making it a year-round destination. Whether you're visiting for skiing in the winter or exploring outdoor activities in the warmer months, Kusatsu Onsen Ski Resort is a refreshing escape, offering a perfect blend of nature, adventure, and relaxation in every season.
