Kusatsu Onsen Ski Resort (草津温泉スキー場, Kusatsu Onsen Skījō), located on the slopes of Mount Shirane, offers a fun mix of skiing and relaxation. Just above the famous Kusatsu hot springs, it's the perfect place to enjoy the snow and then warm up in a soothing bath. Although a volcanic eruption in 2018 closed the upper area and main gondola, the lower slopes are still open with multiple lifts and ski runs.
