Sainokawara Park is a 10-minute walk from Yubatake, along a small road with many inns and shops.

Sainokawara Park
Sainokawara Park (西の河原公園, Sainokawara Kōen) is a peaceful nature spot just a short walk from Kusatsu's town center. Hot spring water bubbles from the ground and flows through warm streams and pools across the valley. A hot water waterfall and a free foot bath near its base make it perfect for a relaxing stroll.
Higher up the park, scenic walking trails pass through forests and rocky terrain. The highlight is the Sainokawara Rotemburo, a large public outdoor bath set in nature. With two spacious, gender-separated pools that each hold up to 100 people, it’s a great place to enjoy a soak while surrounded by fresh mountain air and natural beauty.
