Tengudani Kiln Site
The Tengudani Kiln Site (天狗谷窯跡, Tengudani Kamaato) marks the location of one of Arita’s earliest porcelain kilns, built ingeniously along a slope. While the original kiln—once 50 meters long and 5 meters wide—no longer remains, visitors can still explore the site and see where this key piece of ceramic history once operated.
Although the actual kiln is gone, a faithful reproduction can be viewed at Arita Porcelain Park. Together, the site and its replica offer visitors a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship and structure of early kiln design. It's a quiet yet important stop for anyone interested in the roots of Japanese porcelain.
