From JR Wakayama Station or Nankai Wakayamashi Station, take the Wakayama Bus to Saikazaki Yuen (30–40 minutes), then walk about 20-30 minutes uphill through narrow paths to reach Cape Saikazaki.

Cape Saikazaki
Cape Saikazaki (雑賀崎), located in southern Wakayama City, offers breathtaking coastal scenery and a glimpse into Japan's maritime history. Known as the "Hawk's Nest," the cape features the Saikazaki Lighthouse perched atop steep cliffs, providing panoramic views of the Kii Channel and nearby islands like Tomogashima and Awaji Island. The area is part of the Setonaikai National Park and retains the region's only natural coastline, making it a serene spot for nature lovers.
Beyond its natural beauty, Cape Saikazaki is steeped in history. During the Sengoku period, it served as the headquarters for the Saiga Ikki, led by the famed marksman Saiga Magoichi. Visitors can explore Bandoko Garden, a Japanese garden on a peninsula that once functioned as a lookout post for the Kishu Domain. The cape's blend of scenic vistas and historical significance offers a unique experience for those exploring Wakayama's coastal charm.
