Hakone Glass no Mori
Hakone Glass no Mori (箱根ガラスの森) is a picturesque Italian-style museum and shopping complex located in the Sengokuhara area. The museum showcases an elegant collection of over 100 pieces of Venetian glassware, featuring both classical and contemporary works such as goblets, vases, chandeliers, and intricate sculptures. The pieces are artfully displayed in softly lit galleries that highlight the delicate beauty and craftsmanship of each item. Outside, visitors can stroll through a beautifully landscaped garden, designed in the style of a Venetian villa, featuring a canal-like pond and dazzling glass sculptures that shimmer in the sunlight.
Adding to the ambiance, the museum’s café offers views of the garden and regular live performances of Italian canzoni, further enhancing the European atmosphere. Operated by the Ukai Group, which also manages the Kawaguchiko Music Forest, Hakone Glass no Mori blends art, culture, and nature into a uniquely immersive experience. The museum grounds are especially magical during seasonal events, such as sparkling glass tree displays in winter and vibrant flower arrangements in spring, making it a delightful destination throughout the year.
