Yokohama Night Illumination (yorunoyo)

Yokohama Night Illumination (横浜イルミネーション, Yorunoyo) is a dazzling winter event that transforms the city into a glowing spectacle every December. Centered around Yamashita Park, the illumination features rows of beautifully lit trees along Yamashita Koen Street, creating a magical path for visitors to wander. One of the highlights is the Dynamic Aurora show, which illuminates the area with stunning floodlights, casting a mesmerizing glow across the entire district. The lights create an enchanting atmosphere that fills the city with festive cheer, perfect for a winter evening out.

Running from early November to the end of February, the illumination lights up the night from 5 pm to 9:05 pm daily. On New Year's Eve, the lights stay on until 1 am, offering a radiant welcome to the new year. Admission is free, making it an accessible and unmissable experience for both locals and tourists.
