The fastest way from Kyoto Station to Arashiyama is by the JR Sagano Line (15 min, 240 yen). From Saga-Arashiyama Station, it’s a 5–10 minute walk. You can also take the Keifuku Railway from Omiya Station (20 min, 250 yen), which stops right in the center of Arashiyama.

Another option is the Hankyu Railway from Kyoto-Kawaramachi via Katsura Station (about 20 min, 240 yen). Buses are available but often delayed by traffic, so trains are the best choice.
