Keino-Matsubara Fireworks Festival

1 of 1 in Awaji Island

Keino-Matsubara Fireworks Festival (慶野松原花火大会, Keino Matsubara Hanabi Taikai) takes place every year in late July near Keinomatsubara Beach on Awaji Island. The show launches over 3,000 fireworks just 200 meters from the shore, creating a colorful spectacle above the sea. Spectators can relax on the sandy beach while watching brilliant fireworks light up the summer sky.

It’s a fun summer tradition where families, friends, and couples gather in the evening with picnic blankets, snacks, and cameras to capture the view. The setting by the water makes the reflections even more beautiful. As the sun sets, the beach transforms into a glowing stage of color and sound that people of all ages can enjoy.
