Takaoka Daibutsu is a massive bronze Buddha built with local skill. You can go inside the base and see the original wooden head that survived multiple fires.

Zuiryuji Temple is a peaceful Zen site with Edo-style halls, a grand gate, and statues of Ususama Myo-o, the deity who protects and purifies—even in the restroom.
