Onsen Hoyo Land
Onsen Hoyo Land (温泉保養ランド) is a hidden gem for true onsen enthusiasts, offering an authentic and rustic experience that transports you back in time. While the bathhouse may appear a bit old-fashioned, this only adds to its charm, creating a cozy, atmospheric environment. What truly sets Onsen Hoyo Land apart is its rare offerings, including mud baths and soothing steam baths, which are hard to find in most other hot springs across Japan. These unique treatments provide a deeper sense of relaxation and rejuvenation, making it a must-visit for those seeking something different.
The onsen features both indoor and outdoor bathing areas, with the indoor baths separated by gender for privacy and tradition. However, the outdoor area includes a mixed-gender zone, allowing for a more open, social experience in a beautiful, natural setting. Whether you're looking for a peaceful solo soak or a more interactive, communal experience, Onsen Hoyo Land offers something for every type of visitor. With its raw, natural atmosphere and historical significance, this onsen provides an unforgettable escape into the heart of Beppu’s bathing culture.
