Trip near Narita Airport ; Riverside SAWARA, Narita-san Shinshoji Temple

If you stay near Narita airport, Naritasan Shishoji & SAWARA are ideal places to visit. Sawara flourished as an important transportation point of rivers Tone and Ono crossing in Edo era. Still now the town is well preserved retaining nostalgic atmosphere and you can travel back in time to Edo era. At the main gate of Naritasan Shinshoji temple eight different Buddha images and beautifully colored three story pagoda welcome you. Experience Goma ritual held inside the main hall every hour. Head to Great Pagoda of peace where historical artifacts and treasures of this temple are displayed. Then walk in Narita san Park filled with seasonal flowers, pond, waterfall and fountain. The tour finishes at JR/Keisei Narita station.
