Japan Ukiyoe Museum

The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum (日本浮世絵博物館, Nihon Ukiyo-e Hakubutsukan) in Matsumoto boasts one of the largest private collections of ukiyo-e (woodblock prints) in the world. The collection, which began over 300 years ago with wealthy merchant Sakai Yoshiaki, has since grown to include more than 100,000 pieces.
