Les Archives du Coeur (心臓音のアーカイブ) on Teshima Island is a unique art installation by French artist Christian Boltanski. This captivating exhibit preserves and showcases recorded heartbeats from people worldwide. Visitors can listen to the rhythmic sound of a heartbeat in a dimly lit, immersive room, creating a profound and reflective experience. The project invites guests to record their own heartbeat, adding to this ever-growing archive of life.
Located on the serene Teshima Island, Les Archives du Coeur is part of the Setouchi Triennale art festival. Its minimalist architecture and peaceful coastal setting make it a powerful symbol of memory and human connection, offering visitors a deeply emotional and unforgettable experience.
