From Tokyo to Shizuoka

  • Tokyo and Shizuoka are connected by the JR Tokaido Shinkansen. The Hikari train takes about 60 minutes, and the Kodama train takes 90 minutes. Nozomi trains don't stop at Shizuoka. A one-way ticket costs 5940 yen for an unreserved seat or around 6500 yen for a reserved seat. The Japan Rail Pass covers both Hikari and Kodama trains.
